About Us

The Gulf Coast Process Technology Alliance (GCPTA) is an organization of the Process Technology (PTEC�) education providers and their business, industry, and community advisors cooperatively working toward their common goals. The GCPTA is an active partner with the Center for the Advancement of Process Technology (CAPT).

Vision

GCPTA is the prevailing collaborative effort for Process Technology in the Gulf Coast region.

Mission

Through collaboration of industry, educational institutions, government, and others, the GCPTA will support the development of a diverse, qualified Process Technology talent pool to meet workforce needs in the Gulf Coast region.

Objectives

• Develop standards for PTEC programs that assure quality graduates; regularly evaluate conformance to those standards.
• Define and execute campaigns that promote PTEC and GCPTA resulting in increased student enrollment and industry participation.
• Evaluate and improve the GCPTA curriculum and supporting educational materials to meet the needs of our industry and educational partners.
• Employ a budgeting process to address GCPTA needs and generate revenue to meet those expenditures.
